Cloud Security and Digital Infrastructure Protection

Secure cloud environments on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud — manage access, monitor threats, and protect applications.

Overview

Gartner predicts that by 2025, 99% of cloud security failures will be the customer fault, not the cloud provider. As organisations migrate to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, security teams must master cloud-specific security: shared responsibility model, IAM (Identity and Access Management), network security (VPCs, security groups, WAFs), data encryption (at rest and in transit), security monitoring and logging, container and Kubernetes security, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27017). Participants configure security controls on live cloud environments and leave with a cloud security checklist and governance framework.

Course Objectives

  • Understand the shared responsibility model across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Configure IAM policies, roles, and permissions securely.
  • Implement network security — VPCs, security groups, WAFs.
  • Encrypt data at rest and in transit across cloud platforms.
  • Set up security monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Secure containers and Kubernetes deployments.

Requirements

  • IT or security background. Basic familiarity with cloud platforms is helpful.

Why This Course?

99% of Cloud Failures Are Your Fault — Not the Cloud

Gartner predicts 99% of cloud security failures will be customer fault by 2025. The cloud is secure — your configuration might not be. This programme teaches you to configure, monitor, and govern cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Course Value

IAM Security
Configure identity and access management with least-privilege principles, MFA, and role-based access control.
Network & Data Security
Implement VPCs, security groups, WAFs, and encryption to protect cloud networks and data at rest and in transit.
Security Monitoring
Set up cloud logging, SIEM integration, and alerting to detect and respond to threats in real time.
Compliance & Governance
Align cloud security with SOC 2, ISO 27017, and regional regulations through a structured governance framework.
