Overview
Hitachi and Fujifilm have deployed AI diagnostic systems that outperform radiologists in detecting early-stage cancers in CT and MRI scans. This programme examines these systems in depth — their training datasets, validation protocols, and clinical integration models — as well as Japan PMDA regulatory pathway for AI-based medical devices, enabling participants to understand both the technology and the governance framework needed to scale it.
Program Objectives
- Understand AI diagnostic technologies applied in Japanese healthcare.
- Evaluate clinical validation and regulatory approval processes for AI medical devices.
- Design an AI diagnostic adoption roadmap for a health system.
