Overview

Japan 2017 Basic Hydrogen Strategy — the world first national hydrogen strategy — and its 2023 revision target 3 million tons of hydrogen supply by 2030 and full carbon neutrality by 2050. Japan cannot produce this domestically and is actively pursuing partnerships with hydrogen exporters, making Gulf states natural strategic partners. This programme brings participants face-to-face with Japan government agencies, NEDO, and hydrogen industry leaders to explore concrete partnership structures.
