Overview
The TESSEI 7-minute miracle — where 22 crew members clean and reset a 1,323-seat Shinkansen in under 7 minutes — is the most studied operational efficiency case study in the world. What makes it extraordinary is not speed alone but the dignity, pride, and standardised work (SOP) embedded in every role. This programme deconstructs the TESSEI model — standardised work, visual management, team choreography, and service mindset — and teaches participants to apply the same principles to government counters, hospital admissions, and public service queues.
Program Objectives
- Understand the TESSEI 7-minute system and its operational principles.
- Apply standardised work, visual management, and team choreography to a service process.
- Design a peak-efficiency service delivery model for a government or healthcare context.
